Edible Cell Project at CELC!

Students are challenged to make a model of a plant or animal cell using only edible ingredients to represent major organelles, such as mitochondria, nucleolus, and cell membrane.  Projects varied from frosted cakes to cross-sections of watermelons.  All parts were labeled to include cell function. ~Click on any image to view a scrollable gallery.
