Openings available for drama class at Long Wharf Theater in New Haven!

Long Wharf Theater Education

Based on the theme of Heritage, Ethnicity, and Quest for Freedom in America, this class will explore the fundamentals of acting and improvisation, elements and environment work, and Anne Bogart’s Viewpoints to provide students with new access points into creating a character and approaching a script. Students will work as an ensemble to bring to life an original script based on our theme and the characters they create. In addition, all students will be involved in at least one design element for the final share.

This fun and energetic class will allow students to utilize their imaginations and playfulness to revitalize their old habits and will culminate with a final sharing for family and friends on December 19th.

Meets Fridays 12:30 – 2:30 p.m. 17, 24 31 October; 7, 14, 21 November; 5, 12, 19 December (19 December performance/share, must participate)

Ages: 9 through 14

Cost is $160.00 per student. Please register by 10 October 2014. Minimum of 10 students is required for this price.
