Beginning in October CELC students have worked (in-person) with drama instructor Nicki LaPorte at Oddfellows Playhouse in Middletown, Connecticut.  This endeavor brought together aspects of theater from past to present as part of CELC’s thematic study for this year, Ancient to Modern Civilizations.

We are so thrilled to be able to present this play to you!

Recorded live, our Watch Party is open to the public.

Please share with family and friends to support this wonderful student work!

Theater Through the Ages is a brief exploration of theater history. We start in Ancient Greece with Aesop’s Fables, then travel to Japan to hear the story of Momotaro The Peach Boy done in the style of Kabuki theater, then to 1596 for two scenes from William Shakespeare’s Midsummer Night’s Dream. We then fast forward 350 years for some TROUBLE, from the classic musical The Music Man.
