Join the students of CT Experiential Learning Center (CELC) for their world premier of
East of the Sun and West of the Moon
Friday, 18 December 1:30 p.m.
at Long Wharf Theatre’s Stage II classroom.
What does it mean to work collaboratively in an artistic process? How can we as a group effectively create a story with its own world and characters? The culmination of our time together is a play entirely performed, directed, and designed by the students.
Based on a Norwegian folktale, East of the Sun and West of the Moon tells the story of a young woman who is forced to rescue her friend from a villainous troll. She must travel great distances and rely on the guidance of many mythical creatures: the Moon, a Salamander, and Father Forest, just to name a few!
Will our young woman succeed?
