In partnership with Different Drum Sailing Adventures , CELC offers three to seven-day live-aboard adventures, under the direction of Capt. Jeff Armor and crew. Boost knowledge and confidence while living aboard a sailing vessel. Thrive in an encouraging and supportive community environment while exploring the amazing natural world.
During these educational sailing adventures aboard Boundless, life aboard is entirely hands-on when it comes to learning. Students take the wheel, raise the sails, drop anchors, and prepare meals for one another in a program designed specifically for middle and high school students.
Lessons in navigation, meteorology, marine science, physical/earth science, astronomy, solar/wind energy, setting life goals, and journaling are combined with seamanship skills, leadership and team-building.
Destinations include the Bahamas, Chesapeake Bay, Maine, New York City, and Washington DC.
From family adventures, students groups, to gap year programming as First Mate, Different Drum changes lives, one student at a time!
